Infinitae graduating from the “3-Season” apprenticeship earlier this year.
A Year of Service.
Infinitae first became part of the Earth Matter family when she joined the “3-season” apprenticeship program in 2016, she became part of the inaugural City Service Corps sponsored by the NYCCompost Project.
Over the past 10 months, Infinitae helped divert organic waste out of NYC’s landfills by taking part in the NYC Organics Collection Program and working with us at our Compost Learning Center.
Highlight projects include Infinitae’s work with the NY Harbor School – helping inspire students to stay on point in promoting leadership in use of composting, and the recycling of their school’s cafeteria waste. Infinitae also focused her energy on developing the concept of the “Farmacy” featuring use of plants in natural healing methods, which she will leave behind as a legacy project of our Soil Start Farm.
