Environmental Justice Statement

Environmental Justice is the ethical, balanced and responsible use of land and renewable resources in the interest of a sustainable planet for humans and other living things. This principle recognizes that marginalized communities—particularly Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and low-income communities—have borne a disproportionate burden of environmental harm.

Earth Matter NY embraces environmental justice by promoting an inclusive community that enhances soil health, reduces waste, and grows nutritious food for our neighbors.

Through collaboration with community organizations and residents, we support inclusive participation in activities to nourish the health of the spaces where we live, work, and play. By focusing on regenerating life in our shared city and creating a culture of resiliency, we are laying the foundation to feed and support healthy generations.
