Monday Madness: Compost Build at Earth Matter!

Description:

Join us for our weekly compost build! We will be sorting organics generated on-island and from our off-island partners including residential food scraps from Lower East Side Ecology Center.Gain practical experience tracking food scraps, sorting out landfill items and recyclables from organics, and contributing to a community-scale composting system. We look forward to working towards collective environmental stewardship with you through composting together!

This activity is available to those in the Master Composter program and general volunteers.

Our compost build activity takes place outside at a paved area of our site and will involve physical sorting of organics and a tour. We are happy to discuss possible accommodations. Prior to registration, please reach out to volunteer@earthmatter.org if you have accessibility concerns.
