Kill deer have been residents on Picnic Point long before Earth Matter came along. We have had the honor to see this open field loving runner yell and scream at us when we go to pick up a wheelbarrow of leaves, and plant our hay bale beds this spring. The moms are known to abandon their nests, which they favor to build in open areas such as the Picnic Point demo farm area or parking lots, if there are too many people or activities close by. Yet, like the rest of us affected by the construction, they appear to be hanging in there, adjusting to the ever-changing tides and truck currents.
